Ten-Day Assessment of Khartoum’s Industrial Sector Begins
Khartoum’s Ministry of Industry and Trade has launched a ten-day study to assess the state’s industrial sector. The initiative, carried out in partnership with the federal ministry, was launched Tuesday in the presence of Director-General Amin Hassan Abdel-Banat, Dr. Imad Al-Din Khatmi, and industry specialists.
The study involves field visits to industrial areas to document damage inflicted by rebel militias on key infrastructure, including electricity and water systems. It will also estimate reconstruction costs and outline measures to speed up the return of factories to operation.
