Sudan Strengthens Digital Ties with China at Addis Forum
At the China–Africa Digital Cooperation Forum in Addis Ababa, Sudan’s Minister of Digital Transformation and Communications, Ahmed Dardiri Gandour, held high-level discussions with China’s Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Li Licheng, on advancing digital cooperation.
The talks centered on Sudan’s plans to modernize its telecom infrastructure, invest in human capital, and use its geographic position to launch regional digital initiatives. Gandour emphasized that digital transformation must directly improve public services and drive inclusive economic growth.
In a series of separate meetings with African and international partners, Gandour reaffirmed Sudan’s intention to play a regional leadership role in digital development, signaling the government’s commitment to long-term, sustainable digital integration.
