Dembele and Bonmati Claim 2025 Ballon d’Or Honors in Paris

Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele and Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmati were crowned the world’s best players at the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris.
Dembele, who inspired PSG to a historic treble and their first-ever Champions League triumph, took home the men’s award. Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal, 18, finished runner-up and was also named Best Young Player.
An emotional Dembele accepted the trophy to chants of his name, noting he would otherwise have been playing in Marseille for a rescheduled league match.
On the women’s side, Bonmati made history by becoming the first female player to win the Ballon d’Or three years in a row, joining Lionel Messi and Michel Platini as the only footballers ever to achieve the feat.
