As Sudan’s army, police, and intelligence units lead deportation campaigns, South Sudanese without papers are being returned en masse. Many have never lived in South Sudan.
Juba’s media demanded action from the presidency and Foreign Ministry, calling the deportations inhumane.
Khartoum says lawbreakers were removed, citing finds of weapons and narcotics during raids and alleged militia ties among some foreigners. Doshka calls outrage “emotional overreaction.”
Analyst Hanafi sees limited fallout. He says the policy covers all undocumented nationals and that both governments know Sudan will keep enforcing it.
