Thousands of Sudanese took to the streets on Saturday in a coordinated show of support for the Sudanese Armed Forces, responding to calls by popular resistance groups to mark a “National Day of Rallying Behind the Armed Forces.” Similar demonstrations were also reported among Sudanese communities abroad.

The protests, held under the banner “One Army, One People,” aimed to reinforce public backing for the military in its war against the Rapid Support Forces. Large crowds gathered in multiple states, including Khartoum, Al-Jazira, Red Sea, Kassala, River Nile, Northern, Gedaref, Sennar, and North Kordofan, chanting slogans rejecting negotiations and denouncing alleged foreign involvement.

Participants demanded that the RSF be classified as a terrorist organization and reiterated their refusal to engage in talks with what they described as a rebellious militia. Protesters also criticized the Quadrilateral Mechanism, insisting it should not include the United Arab Emirates, which they accused of supplying the RSF with fighters and weapons.

At the rallies, speakers called on the international community to take action against alleged crimes committed by the militia, particularly in Darfur and Al-Jazira. They claimed the RSF has been largely weakened on the ground and now relies heavily on foreign mercenaries, urging the army to continue military operations until the group is eliminated.
